BarbersRide 2017- a charity motorcycle ride sponsored by Harley-Davidson® UK & Ireland, has managed to raise money yet again, for two very worthy charities - Great Ormond Street Hospital and the Lions Barber Collective. An international collective of barbers, these charities are committed to raising awareness for the prevention of suicide.
BarbersRide 2017 began at Dundee on Saturday 22nd July 2017 and finished on 26th July in Shoreditch, London - home of famed Bike Shed, where an evening of fun commenced along with amazing food, music and liquid refreshments. The event consisted of an international collection of barbers and guest riders, who rode the 500 miles, whilst collecting donations en route with evening stopovers that featured barber seminars from invited speakers and after-ride parties.
Conceived and planned by Colin Petrie, Harley-Davidson® enthusiast and owner of famed barbershop Hard Grind, long with a group of like-minded individuals, BarbersRide 2017 has managed to raise donated funds for both the world-famous Great Ormond Street Hospital which has been renowned for its specialist children care along with The Lions Barber Collective.
Having raised over £8000 to date, Harley-Davidson® Wolverhampton customers can still aid this cause and donate to these charities by making a donation on the BarbersRide 2017 JustGiving web portal. Stay tuned to find out exactly how much we raise and we look forward to seeing this event again next year!
